Amazing, the water flow is excellent realistic, but I am not sure about the clouds, they don't have a good depth and they are too many (in my opinion), you don't have to use Layer R/Z to give them the 3D-ness, what I do is just select the whole layer and stretch it horizontally out to the sides, but I know this is not the final, a lot of change is coming, btw isn't the grass leaf individually looks wide?

clouds yes I agree Sargon. they are what I've been working on today. We have a real nice cloudy gray day ....so I'm getting a good look at misty weather. It will show in the next version. I also use stretch quite often with the cloud layer and the way I'm doing them involves about 4 layers of stretch (at least)
grass once again you noticed the spot I've been working on. Its way too big for the vantage point. That was the 5 min grass I showed in the realistic section. I've actually spent 1/2 hour on the new improved skinnier version. LOL! coming soon an update picture. Think I'll post it in the paint.net forum.
ciao OMA

thanks sorry for making you all go there to view that update. this is the direction I want to take this I'm not showing it over other forum until I figure out if I can actually pull this off. The picture I'm drawing from faces wrong direction. So I'll flip it and will have to really watch my shading. That reverse shading will be a real challenge. also with no tablet I'm trying this one first straight mouse drawing. Its quite a bit like using those old toys called etch a sketch. PAIN! IN The PATUTIE.

That's actually a very good idea, oma. Deer wouldn't be that hard to draw since their coat of fur is shorter, so you wouldn't need to worry about that too much. I love it already!

Don't you just hate it when that happens. You're not alone in doing that oma It's still a great picture though Very atmospheric. And I love the pine sapling. Great texture Just had a mad thought that popped into my head ... would Simon Brown's AnimatedPNG plug-in put all the layers onto separate layers ? I've never tried it so ...

A really lovely image, Oma. The grass, the rocks & the trees are wonderful. The sky is so awesome & realistic. I see the gulls managed to get a look in afterall! I love the way you've done them. The way the water seems to shimmer is excellent.
Doesn't it just make you mad when things like that happen. I've done it too.
I think it is super! Well done!

Amazing amazing oma so serene , wow, did you say that you flattend the 2 PDN files and saved them flattened?? I never save a flatten PDN, I wish also if I can save the whole history not just the current layers, anyway lets come back to the image, I think the deer is little off because the background is blur but not the deer, and the deer has a shape of hyena somehow I think because of the thick neck and legs, may be adding small horns or make the fur finer and lighter will help, there is a way for sure. The sun is shining bright on the seagulls ( I know you meant them to be white) but the ambient is foggy cloudy. I love the trees, awesome work on them, the grass also I like this version very much. The dark sky and the clouds with the mountains are great, it is all together fantastic.

Seeing how I had seen a gutted deer up close, I can tell you that from a distance, deer have a near smooth fur...it's unfortunate you accidentally flattened your files. That has happened to the best of us...don't worry. The overall image is great...it looks almost like a cool day, going on to dusk, and the deer lapping (more accurately, doe) water is a great touch. For somebody that used just a mouse to draw a deer is superb! I'm glad you didn't try to make the deer's rack, that would had been a headache.

Shame you flattened the images. Still it`s an excellent image (once again!) as it is. Nice one Oma.
