This should definitely be placed in a book about optical illusions. I love how you chose very nice colors and how they gradually fade into different ones. I'm still wondering what you used for this effect, but I can't think right now. All I know is that it's a fantastic and very intelligent piece of work. Nice job.

I couldn't look at it for long without feeling quite queasy ... which is always a good sign for an optical thingy with me. Love the colours too BTW ... I made you a wrench with a hole in it

Sorry Sargon , couldn`t get them to move at all no matter how hard I stared at them. It`s the same with most of these kinds of pics for me. Only a few give off the moving effect. Very nicely made though. Nice colours, great idea. One thing that ALWAYS looks as if they are moving is the clouds plug in in PDN. Nice blue background , then make second colour transparent and render some white clouds on the default setting. Works every time for me.

@Goonie - I can always see the old CRT monitors rolling...thank goodness for LCD. Must be something in the way you brain processes info. I try not to look directly at the picture but kinda through it. Works for me then.
Great tip on the clouds. Thanks!
@Sargon, they do but not all at the same time. (See post above). Do they for everyone else?
I love it. Great colours & shapes. Wonderful optical illusion. Well done!

This image made my eyes hurt to dart across the screen as my mind create the rotation...very cool job. I think I detect Droste, but I'm not sure.

Thanks every one , and Yes Lance it is Droste on transparent layer. They don't work with all brains, here are some more, look at one and others will rotate, you have to switch between centers to get the effect: This is a strong contrast one be careful : This is normal: And this is a Droste Flower no optical illusions in it :

Wow! You should make a book with optical illusions or something. These are amazing! The Droste Flower is so intensely beautiful!

Thanks everyone and I am sorry about my short replies, cause I did not have enough time last week: @ HELEN, thank you very much, they just come accidentally when I use PDN, I am glad they had worked with you and you were able to feel the movement . theonlychad wrote: still doesn't work on me. Optical illusions have never really worked on me... does that make me weird Nop, it doesn't, your brain is completely normal, the effect is not that strong in my images, and sometimes you need to practice on these kind of images to be able to feel the effects, try this, don't tell me no (I didn't make this just linking it): @ barbieq25, thank you very much, and glad you like the flower. This image create with SketchUp (full size image took me 10 minutes to do it), this if you know how to use the program And enhanced by PDN: Goonfella, I animated your house with Google SketchUp , was a lot of fun to do it:
