I thought this would be a good idea because web buttons are popular these days and also i would like to see other techniques on how people do this

Here are few guidelines:
you must show the finished product either before or after the tutorial.
leave room for people to innovate

mods if you feel that this isn't needed go ahead and lock or delete it :D

edit: fixed the tutorial a bit.

Good tutorial, and nice result, is it the same of your sig?
I like to see the 3 versions button, Normal (inactive, on mouse out), On Mouse over and Active (clicked), you can add all of them to the site, when you move mouse over it changes the color and/or shape, and when click it it changes once again, like the "Back" button on the browser.

yes it is almost the same result as my sig... actually an improved version. Make sure you run soften portrait on the image to make it look like the button at the end.

Whats wrong with it? I think the problem is in the font style and Caps, I prefer the text to be separate from images, so you can edit it and add to it easily if they need, and the most important it will be hard to steal it, they just can link to it.
